This is not a commercial water, and to ensure there is no pressure on our fish, the lake is only available for a limited number of weeks a year, so bookings are of a premium.
We do this to keep the stock in prime condition with less stress. The lake is spring-fed, tree lined and has a clay bed. The carp are productive all year round and this is predominantly a daytime fishery. Chanteboeuf caters for two anglers with exclusive use of the lake and chalet.
We have bedspoke cabins, fully insulated and lined to replace the need for bivvies, and all this is set in a tranquil and exclusive venue designed for the experienced angler who is looking for a relaxing holiday with exceptional fishing.
Chantebeouf is a family run lake and no alcohol on the bank is allowed. No drugs of any kind will be tolerated – should this occur we reserve the right to terminate your booking with immediate effect without a refund. This also applies should you fail to comply with any of the rules stated.
Anglers are asked to arrive after 2pm on Saturday and vacate by 10am the following Saturday. There is no smoking in the house or chalet and we expect you to leave the accomodation in the condition you find it.
A deposit of £150 to be paid up to a week before your trip to cover any breakages/cleaning charge which may occur is compulsory. If all is left satisfactory we shall refund the full amount within 10 days of your departure.
Your booking does not obviously include travel (other than airport pick up if you have booked this service) or personal insurance. We cannot be held responsible for any disruption to your journey and we advise you to have travel/breakdown and also health/medical insurance before departing.
