And with temperatures hitting mid 30’s Steve’s kids were straight into pool and Steve and his wife took a stroll around the lake and grounds. They all loved the house, pool, gardens and grounds.

After getting acclimatised to the beautiful surroundings and seeing a few big lumps show, Steve was soon into his fishing was very soon into his first fish landing a 52lb Mirror.

This was a family holiday and so Steve wanted to combine time with his wife, son and daughter both enjoying the grounds but also a few day trips. Fishing for Steve was therefore mainly early mornings and late into the evenings with the witching hour at or around midnight every night.

Very few guests fish the nights as they have their fill in the daytimes but this approach fitted really well so that Steve was able to enjoy his fishing and family time. With a fish each night ranging from the smallest at 39lb featuring a 48 and two 50’s

Steve messaged “I’m over the moon with the fishing although the back is taking a pounding with one fight lasting 2 hours plus”!

“Thankyou we have had a great week. It has suited me perfectly. As I said I’m an opportunist angler not a campaign angler and a fish each night was more than I had hoped for and at last knocking another fish to end a great family holiday”
